Ģ- people who read Bakuman : this is pretty much essential to all Bakuman fans it truly captures the negativity of Hiramaru - sensei as well as the subtle gags and the hardships otters in the world as well as the constant fight with all the Yoshidas in the world which is something only a Bakuman fan would understand. The essence of it or might even decide to drop it half way through. SHIGURUI MANGA CHAPTER 1 SERIES
Otters 11 is a spinoff series from Bakuman, as most Bakuman fans know there is so many manga titles in Bakuman but otters 11 was popular enough to get it's own one shot. On the other hand, if you haven't ever read Bakuman, stop reading this review and go read it. So, if you have read Bakuman, it is worth a read just to see what they have done with it and to get an idea of what the "Otter 11" story within the series is actually about.
It is more a tribute to the fans of Bakuman. As the most responsible and respected member of the class, hes asked by their teacher to check in on Toomi, a student who hasnt. But he hides his true feelings deep down hes terrified of letting everyone down with anything less than perfection and being rejected. Overall, Otter 11 is not an incredibly good manga. Hes class president, great at sports, and beloved by all his classmates, especially the girls. While the character himself, Otter 11, may be interesting and deep, with no decent story, he is not interesting to read about. The character Otter 11 is interesting and deep, but everyone else has no significant or interesting role in the story. The artwork is at a necessary standard for the story, but doesn't surpass any high expectations one might have for it. I was bored within the first 10 pages, and forced myself to The story has the depth you'd expect, but is not interesting. The problem is that the story isn't actually that good, nor the art, nor the characters. It is about a half human, half otter living in human society, and the implications of such a place. The story itself is exactly what you'd expect after reading Bakuman. In fact, I would not recommend this to anyone at all unless they've already read Bakuman. Otter 11, based on the manga originally thought up in "Bakuman", is not the best manga out there by any means. I'm glad their main focus will be Bakuman but it's also kind of a shame because now I'm totally interested on what becomes of Otter 11. It won't be continuing it's just a one-shot. Judging by how Kazuya's like in Bakuman I did expect that from him. There's also a good amount of comical scenes for me to enjoy it until the end.Īrt's good and simple but I think that's what it's meant to be. The thought of having a half-man, half-otter to be some kind of hero is so unusual to me but I kept on reading because I thought it was smart.
It, he's a genius and he even begs his readers like he does with his editor. I couldn't help but keep on going back to Bakuman while reading this (since it did kind of branched out from there), it just fit so well with Kazuya's persona. I thought his manga would be really unusual and it is but it's the good kind of oddity. I finally got to see the work of Hiramaru Kazuya, this character always made me laugh in the Bakuman. You can only understand this manga once you've read beyond chapter 80 of Bakuman.
